It’s speculation at the moment but most seem to think that the landing was not as “soft” as SpaceX commentary would suggest and that a line or tank holding a flammable material ruptured. SN-10 appeared to be leaning slightly in footage from some angles and there was a fire on one side of the base after it landed. The external signs of fire were extinguished, but it is possible that there was a fire still burning inside in which case it was probably only a matter of time before the rocket RUD in some way…
Clearly, though they won’t be able to study the physical components post-landing, hopefully sensors/camera were still transmitting and SpaceX won’t have lost data that would be useful for the future launches/landings.
