It’s pretty much what a lot of people have been saying for a while. BE didn’t take to the fail-fast, learn-fast philosophy that has benefited SpaceX very well. Instead they seem to be falling into the same kinds of design blowouts and traps as traditional Gov funded space programs - make everything work perfectly on the first go means everyone moves very slow due and no one wants to innovate due to risk aversion.
The timeline blow out is sad. I’m looking forward to having SpaceX, BE and UPA all launching massive vehicles. The price for cargo to orbit will become incredibly low when that happens.
