My name is Andrew Murphy and I am currently a HD final year student pursuing a dual degree in Aerospace engineering and Physics at UNSW. As I am to graduate at the end of 2021, I was looking into finding a graduate position in space science and engineering!
As someone from both an engineering and physics background, I have always found myself attracted to the more mathematical and technical aspects of a given field. What I have found most interesting has been related to aerodynamics and control, for the physical and mathematical depth they require. Other areas I am interested in are related to propulsion and orbital mechanics for similar reasons. I have also proven myself in areas of computational physics and electrical engineering throughout my studies - these being areas that have also piqued my interest.
A role that I would see myself doing is in systems engineering as I like to have a good understanding of all aspects of a design across multiple disciplines, whilst providing cohesion and communication. More specifically, I would love to be a part of engineering applied to systems that are highly technical with relation to the areas I mentioned earlier. An ideal career for me in the long term would entail a great level seniority and responsibility in my field. I want to be able assist Australia and humanity all over the world in the space domain that I have been so passionate about for as long as I can remember!
If there are companies of any size, or maturity that are currently facilitating roles in the areas mentioned above, please feel free to contact me for a chat about them. You can reach me on my mobile at +61 430 462 039 or via email at email@example.com!
